GARRETT BRYANT'S PASSION FOR THE INDUSTRY STARTED AT THE AGE OF 18 WHEN A TEMPORARY SUMMER JOB AS A SALON COORDINATOR AT MAGNUM OPUS SALON IN PORTLAND, OREGON SPARKED HIS LOVE FOR THE INDUSTRY AND UNEXPECTEDLY LAUNCHED HIS CAREER. 19 YEARS LATER, HE IS NOW A RESPECTED MANHATTAN STYLIST and founder of Hawthorne.

AS AN APPRENTICE AT TOP NEW YORK SALON, ANTONIO PRIETO SALON, GARRETT SPENT SIX YEARS PERFECTING HIS CRAFT AND ESTABLISHING HIMSELF AS A SENIOR STYLIST AND ASSISTANT SALON EDUCATIONAL DIRECTOR. HIS WORK EDUCATING FOR KERASTASE PARIS ENABLED HIM TO REACH STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS ACROSS THE US, MEXICO, AND CANADA. JEssica Lee

From an early age Jessica loved to work with her hands, building & creating shapes, her passion for aesthetics in design and beauty took her on a journey from Fort Worth Texas to New York City, from an ambitious trainee at Arrojo to one of Manhattan's most in-demand master stylists with a creative flair for transforming her clients beauty from the inside out.

Jessica is a big people person, that's why the bonds with her clients over the last 13 years have created so much more than just great hair. The stories shared have created friendships that will last forever.

Jessica's clients fly from all corners of the globe to get the very best their hair can be. She has embarked on a new journey herself, now at the stunning newly opened Hawthorne Studio, a light-filled calming oasis, a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of NYC at 23rd & 6th.

Jill Engelsen

Jill is currently an Independent Senior Stylist at hawthorne in NYC. She has twelve+ years of behind-the-chair experience with nine of those years in NYC (3 years at Ted Gibson Salon, 6 at Butterfly Studio by Kattia Solano and currently at HAWTHORNE Studio by Garrett Bryant) and the previous four years at Bella Salon & Spa back home in Minneapolis. During that time she had been approached to become an educator for L’Oreal Professionnel based on her passion for elevating the industry by her belief that sharing leads to success.

During her 7 years as an artist for LP she has flown across the country sharing her knowledge with top salons, taught at our NYC and Newport Beach Academies, and has been a platform artist at Intercoiffure in Boca Raton, FL.

Jill’s talent is in her bloodline having a mother who was an extremely accomplished hairstylist, salon owner, competitor, competition judge and the Styles Director of the NCA of MN circa 1960-1996. Jill’s first platform experience was at the age of 5 when her mother prepped her to do an up-do on stage in a competition in front of 500 people with herself wearing a killer beehive of her own. That was her ‘normal’ childhood.

Since moving to NYC she has be involved in numerous fashion weeks working with designers Lela Rose, Carmen Marc Valvo, Rachel Roy, Pamela Rolland, Rachel Zoe, Rodarte and Kelly Faetanini for bridal fashion week. On top of that she has been a regular behind the scenes doing makeover after makeover on the Rachel Ray Show representing Ted Gibson.

Luca Ponce

Born in North Carolina, Luca has traveled in and out of the US expanding his horizons as an artist. Always feeling strongly connected to his multifaceted and adaptable creative abilities he is now fully immersed in a career that started with Hairstyling, and has moved forward to also include Makeup as part of his professional skills behind the chair, and on set.

He has always invested in training within all different mediums and crafts extending further than Makeup and Hair to fuel his passion for creating his own spin on more traditional art forms including charcoal, pastel, and other forms of tools and techniques.

Lastly, and most importantly, during Luca’s 10 years in the Beauty Industry, he has always loved the connection to his clients, mentors, and peers, first. His love for people exceeds beyond any of his creative abilities and has poured his energy into learning the hearts and spirits of the people he surrounds himself with. He is happy to now to be a collaborator at Hawthorne Studio in the heart of NYC.

Andrew inconstanti

With over 10 years experience in the beauty industry, Andrew has tirelessly worked to master his craft in offering the best for his clients. Born and raised near New York City, he moved to Manhattan to become an artist, eventually studying at Carsten Aveda Institute. Combining a love for both cut and color, he has gained great trust with his clients. It is his top priority to listen and communicate clearly when providing services, so they feel confident on the inside and out.

When he is not in the salon or at the home of a client, you'll find Andrew styling for NYFW, celebrities, and politicians. Additionally, he has combined his love of styling with his desire to support those in need as the vice president of Hair4Humanity. The not-for-profit organization partners with international orphanages, VFWs, disaster relief organizations, etc. to provide free beauty services to those in need. Andrew is a life-long artist who loves to travel, garden, DIY, and escape to his home in Connecticut with his husband and son.
